Edinburgh Airport is Scotland's busiest airport with 14.5 million passengers travelling through in 2019 - figures which are set to grow as Scotland's international connections develop. The airport is home to more than 50 airlines which serve 150 worldwide destinations.

The Digital Analyst will be a key member of Edinburgh Airport’s Digital Team - a brand new team that has a mandate to change every interaction with the airport using online channels, technology, and innovation. We’re looking for a driven and enthusiastic individual who wants to make an impact and is quick to learn.                 

The Digital Team reports directly to senior management, and has the freedom to rapidly develop and test without the usual bureaucracy and process. We’re not scared to fail so long as we learn how to succeed the next time, and we have a bias for action. Our success is measured by income and passenger satisfaction.


  • Support and guide good decision making within commercial and the digital team through data analysis
  • Develop, maintain and improve the analytical & forecasting models and reporting mechanisms for the digital team through key performance metrics
  • Produce accurate and timely analysis of the KPIs for day to day performance, conversions, sales, channels
  • Proactive insight into web traffic, competitor analysis, and market trends
  • Constant development of market knowledge of the car parking and digital industry
  • Translate data and numbers into everyday business language
  • Develop and automate reports required by the commercial and digital team
  • Work closely with the Revenue Manager to ensure commercial revenue targets are met, the cost of sale is minimised
  • Contribute to the forecasting process (short-term and long-term) for the associated revenue streams
  • Complete any other ad hoc tasks as required
Person Specification:
 Skills & Experience – Required
  • First degree in analytical subject, Master’s degree preferable/desirable
  • Highly numerically skilled & very comfortable with manipulating numbers, and raw data into simple reporting structure.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel abilities including the use of functions and pivot tables
  • Able to spot commercial opportunity, and proactively implementing into business strategy
  • A good communicator, attention to detail, able to write accurate documents and reports for presentation to senior stakeholders
  • Ability to learn quickly, is organized, and pick up new skills as the role demands
  • Ability to build and automating commercial reports for quick access
  • Ability to take data and create detailed, and informative PowerPoint presentations and present to commercial teams and senior management.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and thrives in a demanding, performance-based role.
  • Able to articulate complex analysis into concise narrative
  • A team player that can work with the digital team, but also be comfortable interacting with the wider business.
Qualifications and Experience:

Skills & Experience - Desirable

  • Skilled in web analytics package such as Google Analytics.
  • Experience with analytics tools such as Tableau
  • Comfortable writing SQL queries to extract data
  • Ability to build dashboards via analytical tools, that display revenue/bookings/cost insights in a creative way
