Role overview

The main focus of your job will be to support our business and the wider campus promoting Edinburgh Airport as a great place to work and encouraging diversity and social inclusion.  This role is a key part of our overall Greater Good strategy (https://corporate.edinburghairport.com/sustainability) as a Trusted Neighbours and Scotland’s Best Business.  You will work with stakeholders internally and externally with the flexibility to support a number of different initiatives.  What is important for this role is a passion for attracting talent, supporting employment diversity and inclusion and promoting our values and business goals.

You will work closely with our internal communications team, the Head of Sustainability and the wider People team to deliver these goals.

You will be an integral part of the wider People and Planning team.  This will mean a variety in daily tasks and the ability to “muck in” to deliver what needs to be done to support our operation.

There will be a requirement to attend career events on site and off site which may take place over evenings or weekends from time to time.

You should be social media savvy, detail oriented, a strong administrator, flexible and with excellent communication skills

Principal accountabilities

  • General: Provide administration support for in-house and external recruitment as required including advertising vacancies, organising interview availability, booking rooms and ensuring appropriate communications are sent to all parties;
  • Website: Maintenance of the EAL recruitment website for all internal and third party vacancies ensuring vacancies are advertised and closed to set SLA’s.Regularily update and improve design and content to drive engagement and promote our values and opportunities;
  • Social Media: Build an effective recruitment presence in social media; Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Blogs, Instagram, etc working in conjunction with our internal Communications Team;
  • Young people: promoting employment opportunities to young people through schools, colleges and university career events, social media, DYW etc.Delivering our work experience and internship programmes.Co-ordinating our apprenticeship programmes and STEM promotion.
  • Diversity: promoting employment and training opportunities to improve social inclusion through career events and in partnership with DWP and relevant third sector organisations.Supporting the delivery of our successful Sector Based Work Academy programme with DWP.
  • High volume recruitment: supporting high volume recruitment campaigns by promoting vacancies, supporting recruitment events and assessment centres.
  • Commercial activities: Attend clients and prospective clients with the Recruitment Manager to promote the facilities and services offered by the team and drive revenue.
  • Compliance: Supporting the delivery of compliant airport ID applications for internal and external candidates.
  • Relationships: Build effective and constructive relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Good IT skills including Powerpoint essential
  • Experience of social media campaigns and/or website design/update highly desirable
  • Experience in an in house recruiter or internal communications role highly desirable
  • An interest in social inclusion highly desirable
  • Confident presenting to large and small groups and diverse audiences
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated with a problem-solving attitude
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal

  • Willing to work flexibly
