About our Recruitment Process
The recruitment process for this role will be comprised of two stages. The first stage interview will be held over teams, and we’ll ask questions about your experience, motivation for applying for the role, and your interest in Edinburgh Airport. For successful candidates, the second stage interview will be in person, with our Head of Marketing and another member of our Communications team, and will include a presentation, competency and values based questions.
Please note, our interview process may be adjusted depending on the volume of candidates. We are committed to supporting diverse ways of thinking and working, so if you require adjustments in the recruitment process, please let us know on your application. You can find out more about our interview process and the types of questions we ask here.
What you’ll be doing
Whilst gaining an insight into all aspects of the Communications team, this role will focus on the marketing function of the team and will cover areas including Brand management, aviation and retail marketing, consumer insights and CRM.
Throughout the duration of the internship two key audiences will be targeted: the under 25 market and the 65+ segment. A key deliverable of the internship will be the development of bespoke strategies for these two audiences; understanding the scale of the opportunity, how EAL can interact to these markets across all available channels, briefing and managing our agency on creative execution, communicating to key stakeholders and, where possible, implementing the plan or outlining a delivery roadmap.
There is also the opportunity to develop a bespoke marketing project focussing on an area (demographic or channel) that is of specific personal interest, an outline of this should be pitched during the interview process.
